Kids Haircut in Bellevue

A kids haircut in Bellevue at Presidential Fades is $40 and takes about 30 minutes. Antoine handles most of our young clients, and the pace is set by the kid, not the clock.

For a first haircut, or a nervous one

Antoine explains every step before he starts, so nothing that buzzes or clicks arrives as a surprise. We work with toddlers through teens, including kids on the spectrum and kids who have had a bad experience somewhere else. Parents are welcome to stay right next to the chair. Nobody is going to tell you to wait by the door.

The practical stuff

Boosters are available for smaller kids, and there is a kid-friendly TV. Bring a photo of the cut you want if you have one. If you do not, we will suggest a fade or taper that grows out cleanly, which matters more for kids than adults because you are the one deciding when they come back.

Same tools, kid-appropriate pace

It is the same precision work and the same lineup we use on adults. What changes is the tempo. If your kid needs a break halfway through, they get a break halfway through. A haircut that takes 30 minutes and ends well is better than one that takes 15 and ends in tears.

When to come in

We open at 2:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 AM on weekends. If your child does better before a nap or before the shop fills up, weekend mornings right at open are worth asking about when you call.

Before you come in

Two things make the biggest difference. First, mention any worries when you call, so the barber knows before your child is in the chair rather than finding out mid-cut. Second, come in fed and rested if you can; most of what looks like fear of the clippers is a tired kid at the end of a long day. If it is a first haircut, telling them beforehand that it is happening tends to go better than surprising them at the door.

Getting a cut too?

Plenty of parents get their own cut in the next chair. An adult haircut is $50. Mention it when you call so we can line up two barbers instead of making you wait through both.
